Dr. Jeremy M. Law is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow (School of Education), with research spanning literacy development, developmental dyslexia, and quantitative methods in education. A central focus of his work is understanding the cognitive and linguistic mechanisms that underpin reading and spelling—particularly morphological and phonological processing —and how learners develop efficient word-level representations across development and into adulthood. He has a particular interest in dyslexia and compensation.
Jeremy’s research programme includes both longitudinal and cross-sectional studies, with a strong emphasis on translating evidence into practical guidance for education and wider society. He works closely with schools, charities, and third-sector organisations to support more inclusive assessment and teaching practices, and to strengthen policy and workplace awareness relating to neurodivergence. He is particularly interested in approaches that bridge research and practice, including the development of tools and resources that help educators identify learners’ needs and target instruction effectively.
