Jacqueline Musabende is an Associate Professor of International Business at Mount Royal University, Alberta, where she teaches Global Business, International Marketing, Business in Emerging Markets, International Trade Management, Project Management and Management Information Systems.

She is the co-author of “Global Business Today, Canadian edition (McGraw Hill). Dr. Musabende has extensive global professional experience in Africa, Europe and North America, having worked for organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank, in addition to working for multinational corporations and international banks, such as Experian, BNP Paribas and La Société Générale in France.

Jacqueline previously served on the Board of Governors of Mount Royal University (2021-2025); she served on Statistics Canada’s External Advisory Committee on Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) and their diversity 2023-2025). She served as Co-Chair of Joint Equity Diversity Committee at Mount Royal University (2022-2026), and she is on the steering committee of the Federal Nonprofit Data Coalition (FNDC) led by Imagine Canada.

Jacqueline served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Nonprofit and Social Economy Research (ANSER) on the Governance Committee and as Secretary of the Board.

She is recipient of the 2018 Academy of International Business (AIB) CUIBE Best Paper Award in International Business Education and the 2019 Academy of International Business Best Panel in Experiential Learning in International Business Curriculum.

Jacqueline is the recipient of 2025 women innovators in tech; 2024 Alberta Immigrant Impact Award and she is the recipient of the Calgary Black Achievement Awards: 2023 in Education category. She has been recognized as one of the top Black people making history in Calgary in 2023 by Calgary Regional Immigrant Employment Council (CRIEC).

Jacqueline holds a PhD in International Business and a master’s degree in Geographical Applications and Information Systems. She also has a project management designation (PMP®) and is bilingual French.
